Tyco was an American toy manufacturer of model railroads, slot car sets, and remote controlled vehicles. Founded in 1926 as Mantua Metal Products in Woodbury Heights, New Jersey, rebranded as "Tyco Toys" in 1957. Tyco was acquired by Hasbro's chief rival, Mattel on March 27, 1997 and became a brand-name-only unit for remote controlled toy vehicles.
Tyco did produced some Transformers products in 1985 like transforming race cars and an electric train and battle set.
